Our Story

Mark has over 20 years of experience covering all aspects of carpentry and joinery.Mark completed his apprenticeship in Ireland where he worked alongside his at the time boss and one other apprentice. Over Marks 8 years working for that carpentry company together they managed to grow the business to having 20 full time carpenters where they were big contenders for being awarded any large scale carpentry projects throughout Ireland .
As recession gripped Ireland and most of Europe Mark decided to make the move across the pond to Sydney where he has been living since 2011, he hit the ground running working for a number of prominent Australian builders gaining experience and knowledge. After a number of years working as a sole trader Mark founded Xcel Carpentry & Joinery in 2017 where he set out to be one of Sydney’s leading carpentry companies with a strong work ethic and the passion and drive to excel himself to success. Marks main objective is focusing on client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction, securing work for future growth for the company.

XCEL seeks to provide excellent, accurate and accommodating services through our carpentry and joinery expertise. We are a fully insured company, which currently operate in Large teams of 5 – 10 members working to utilizing their years of knowledge and experience to provide excellent service and job quality. All of our workers are fully qualified carpenters with years of experience behind them.
